The Dopplebock is a style that evokes many moments in beer and brewing history, first created in Germany by some of the earliest lager brewers, and then adopted across the U.S. & other brewing hubs as knowledge and skill spread. Our entry in the style leans close to tradition: a strong, malty lager with notes of fresh baked bread & dark fruit, plus a pleasant earthy character from German Noble hops. In name, we channel the mystique of Pando; a clonal colony of individual male quaking Aspen trees that stretches over 108 acres in southern Utah. The identical genetics and connected root system of the individual trees bind them together as one single organism. We feel a similar kindred spirit in the brewing industry.
